One of the most popular sports, especially in the US and Canada, baseball evolved from a bat and ball game in England in the mid 18th Century. The game was brought to North America by immigrants, and the game we know today was developed. It was generally considered to be the national sport of the United States but is also popular throughout the Americas and Caribbean islands, as well as in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Today we’re going to test your knowledge on the game, and see how well you know your players from over the years!
A Worldwide Sport
Did you know that baseball is now extremely popular worldwide? So much so, it’s played in more than 100 countries that are registered as part of the International Baseball Federation. While the US has the largest pro baseball league in the world, in second place is Japan. The top-level of play in Japan is split between the Central and Pacific leagues. The World Baseball Classic, which is organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation, is the biggest international competition for the sport and attracts some of the top teams from around the world.

When Jessie was young, she always wanted to be a hairdresser. Turns out, writing quizzes and content for sites online involves cutting WAY less stuff off of people's heads. Who knew? But Jessie still cuts hair for her friends and family, who generally shy away from her friendly offers for a trim. Maybe it's the haircut, or maybe it's the trivia questions and obsession with the Kardashians that put them off. Jessie doesn't know, and Jessie is fine with that :)
