There was no better time to get down and jiggy with it, and it was all thanks to massive music superstars such as Whitney Houston, David Bowie, Cindy Lauper, and Madonna that truly defined the era. During the '80s, rock music was certainly the defining genre, giving rise to countless new artists, voices, and styles such as gothic rock, heavy metal, post-punk, and new wave music! Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson remains the best selling artist of the 1980s! The star sold countless records, sold-out shows, and released some of the most unique and innovative music videos in history. It was during this time that Michael Jackson solidified his title of the King of Pop, outselling just about any other artist that decade. With smash hits such as “Beat It”, “P.Y.T”, “Billie Jean” and of course, “Thriller”, Michael Jackson was untouchable at the time, and rightfully so!

Beta vulgaris. That's what chard is. Would you want to eat beta vulgaris? More importantly, would you want to answer quiz questions by a person whose chosen name (chardemagne) is a portmanteau of Charlemagne and Chard? Well, it turns out that vulgaris actually means "common" not "disgusting", in the original Latin. One wonders if chard was the second most common greenery available? But let's talk about Charlemagne instead, because rather than being vulgar or common, Charlemagne was an emperor, a medieval one, and a benevolent one. That's pretty impressive. To control vast swaths of Europe during the dark ages, bringing people together...I'll take that namesake. And my quizzes are just as good. I swear.

Awardjoy is a great way to learn a little, while having a lot of fun. There are other quiz sites out there, but between our exceptional quiz writers, our simple and intuitive interface, and our limited use of adverts, Awardjoy is the enjoyable experience we really wanted to create.

While we did start with trivia quizzes, Awardjoy has since expanded to include personality activities, from fun quizzes to more serious assessments. The jury is out yet - but let us let us know what you think.
