The 1980s showcased some of the best films of all time. Films such as “The Terminator”, “Working Girl”, “Dirty Dancing” and “The Color Purple”, have one thing in common -- a strong and extremely talented female lead. The '80s were full of non-stop talent that has since revolutionized the film and television industry in amazing ways. Jane Fonda

The 1980s was quite the time for film, and one actress remains one of the most prolific from this era, Jane Fonda! Fonda, who continues to make strides in the industry today, was amongst one of the most well-known stars from the '80s to stand up for what she believes in. Jane Fonda is one of the few stars at the time to use her platform as a movie star to fight for women’s rights, civil rights, gay rights, and the rights of those who are not able-bodied, making her a star far beyond that of movies.

Beta vulgaris. That's what chard is. Would you want to eat beta vulgaris? More importantly, would you want to answer quiz questions by a person whose chosen name (chardemagne) is a portmanteau of Charlemagne and Chard? Well, it turns out that vulgaris actually means "common" not "disgusting", in the original Latin. One wonders if chard was the second most common greenery available? But let's talk about Charlemagne instead, because rather than being vulgar or common, Charlemagne was an emperor, a medieval one, and a benevolent one. That's pretty impressive. To control vast swaths of Europe during the dark ages, bringing people together...I'll take that namesake. And my quizzes are just as good. I swear.
