Pong

Video games have become such a phenomenon that billions of people worldwide game on a daily basis. While most modern games and consoles are quite futuristic, the first-ever video game was not at all what we’re used to today. “Pong”, which marks the first-ever official video game, was released in 1958 and was designed by Physicist William Higinbotham. It was a simple tennis game and was first introduced at the Brookhaven National Laboratory open house where it was a clear hit!

Beta vulgaris. That's what chard is. Would you want to eat beta vulgaris? More importantly, would you want to answer quiz questions by a person whose chosen name (chardemagne) is a portmanteau of Charlemagne and Chard? Well, it turns out that vulgaris actually means "common" not "disgusting", in the original Latin. One wonders if chard was the second most common greenery available? But let's talk about Charlemagne instead, because rather than being vulgar or common, Charlemagne was an emperor, a medieval one, and a benevolent one. That's pretty impressive. To control vast swaths of Europe during the dark ages, bringing people together...I'll take that namesake. And my quizzes are just as good. I swear.

Awardjoy is a great way to learn a little, while having a lot of fun. There are other quiz sites out there, but between our exceptional quiz writers, our simple and intuitive interface, and our limited use of adverts, Awardjoy is the enjoyable experience we really wanted to create.

While we did start with trivia quizzes, Awardjoy has since expanded to include personality activities, from fun quizzes to more serious assessments. The jury is out yet - but let us let us know what you think.
